ANNOUNCEMENTS:

- SHROVE PANCAKE SUPPER will be Feb 21, 2012 from 5:30 pm until 6:45 pm. Setup and preparation 5:00 – 5:30 pm. Ash Wednesday service to follow at 7:00 pm. Silvia Aebersold has volunteered to drive members from Aspen Ridge Lodge to the Pancake Supper.  Please call Silvia at 335-9592 if you know of anyone that required transportation. Volunteers are needed to help with the pancake supper, please sign up at the Church if you can help!

- WORLD DAY OF PRAYER 2012 – will be held at St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church, March 2, 2012 at 2pm.  The country being profiled this year is Malaysia and the theme is Let Justice Prevail.

- UCW 31th Annual Irish Stew Luncheon – at Olds United Church on Friday, March 16, 2012, 11:00 a.m. to 1:30p.m.Cost is $12.00.

- WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT OUR OWN CHELSEY WANNAMAKER will be working in the Church office several hours each week.

- INCOME TAX RECEIPTS for 2011 are available for pick-up on the back table in the Church CE room.

BOOK STUDY GROUP- this group meets in the Church kitchen Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 11:00 am.

SUNDAY SCRIPTURE READINGS - If you are interested in reading scripture at Sunday Worship, please sign up at the back table. Copies of the readings can be picked up the back table in the church.

TRUCKS AND VANS NEEDED - The UCW Thrift Shop is looking for volunteers with access to a truck or van to transport surplus goods to the Mustard Seed in Calgary. If you are able to help out, contact Joyce Waters at 403-335-3840

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL OR IN THE NURSERY –we are very much in need of adults to spend time with our children on a Sunday morning. Please support this important ministry.

PASTORAL CARE COMMITTEE – encourages you to contact them if you or someone you know needs support. Members are Silvia Aebersold, Birgit Due, Ethel Ryckman, and Phyllis Armstrong. We are always looking for new members so please join us!

OPPORTUNITY KNOX – don’t forget to make use of the small bulletin board in the hall way to request or offer assistance for transportation, yard work, handy-man skills, babysitting, etc. Or leave your business card to promote your business.

KNOX NEEDS YOU! You are encouraged to participate in some of the opportunities that help make our church a welcoming and inviting place. Read scripture, host coffee, teach Sunday School, or help in our nursery on Sunday mornings (see the sign-up sheets on the hall table).
